WHile on Holiday last week i had many photo shoots arranged and now and then I like to catch up with old mates who I haven't seen for a while. I try to keep in touch with Musicians who I have photographed in the past and i knew I hadn't seen Martin McLaughlin for a while.
I also had printed some pictures for Jamie McGeechan and Colin Hunter from previous gigs at Su Casa and I visited Jamie ay his home in Ayr during the day on the 28th of April 2011. I wanted to pass on the photographs and a phone charger for a Mobile phone i gave him. (Hopefully Jamie will provide me with a Signed copy of his First Album soon, and Also Colin will too as I hope to arrange a photo shoot with them both real soon)
So while I visited Jamie he told me he was hosting the set at Su Casa in Ayr again and I mentioned I would give big Martin a shout to come along and i would also get some new photographs and see Alberth Mg (ELGATO ) doing his stuff! plus its a fantastic night!!!.
Also playing that night was Scott Nicol who I last photographed live at the HAC in Irvine and was blown away by his performance, he has a cracking voice and love his music.
So hopefully I will be invited again by the guys down at Su Casa
Here is a couple of Pictures from the Night but if you click here you will see more on my Facebook page

| Biography | Ayrshire has a new musical act to look out for in the form of the always less-than-conventional Taylor Buntain. The Kilmarnock-based singer-songwriter is on a mission - to communicate the complex sounds in his head to the world using nothing more than his voice, a few stringed instruments and some quirky homemade electric contraptions (e.g. "The Original Penguin" - a rudimentary electric kick drum made from an old sub woofer and a watch box). After playing lead guitar in a handful of extreme... (read more) |

Live at the 13th Note Cafe , King St, Glasgow
It was my Birthday on the 11th of Feb and I hadn't anything planned for that night. I don't drink so thought maybe go along to a live show and grab some Photographs.
Rose Parade who I photographed as part of the Explosions day last year were playing along some other musicians however I just wanted to take some Photographs and some video.
you can see the images on my Facebook Page here MRBone PhotographyThis guy on the Mic was introducing the acts, I thought It looked quite cool to get a photograph of him getting annoyed when Rose Parade would get there beers and start playing!. He said to me " I am not with the band mate!", I replied " I know mate, just catching the moment! " and then he totally ignored me! nice!Mark McGowan had played just before Rose Parade so I took some Photographs and a little Video.

January 2011
Well at the start of the year I began with ROCKFEST and had a few picturs there using my new camera and speedflash, the next day I had a shoot with Rachel Red & The Revolvers in Dunure which was pretty good, The Trio were up for my ideas which was a Sin City Rock look with some dark and moody shots using a replica revolver provided by Rachel.
Well we are now into Febuary and already had a few new shoots in the bag. I have a few new Models lined up for future Photo shoots, Shannen,Gemma, and Courtney so look out for them.
Once again I will be working with my regular bands The Risk . The lads are happy to assist in my new project Music Video so it will be a challange but it's what I think I should be doing trying out new things. We also have some ideas for a new Photo Shoot as teh 3 some are going to be Four some very soon. The lads played at teh Rockfest this year and I was lucky enough to catch a couple of pictures of them you can see the Photographs on my Facebook page click on the link here ROCKFEST JAN 11.

Weekend of Photo Shoots
Well it's been a while since I wrote a wee blog, the weekend in October 23rd,24th,25th 2010 has got to be my busiest .
Saturday 24th October 2010
It all started at 10am when I collected Stefan, Welby and TAAY, on route to Glasgow for our shoot. we cramped into my car and while on the A77 met up with Danny and Colin.
When we arrived in Glasgow, Danny must have had a cheap SAT-NAV as it took us to the wrong side of Glasgow, I had taken them within yards of our destination but Danny told me his SAT-NAV would take us there!.
Oh well thank god for GOOGLE MAPS on IPHONE!!!
When we arrived we had some chips, cost £2 for a very small portion, and then headed into Kelvin Park Gardens for the start of our photo shoot we met up with Ewan and Tom Bray
We started the shoot at the fountains and then headed to another part of the park, I had spotted a skate park but we never had the time to go and take some shots but next time I am in there I will use it as a background.
The Weather was great although we tried to catch shadows with the sun, and Ewan got his dog to sit in one of the shots!. I had a look at the shots and they didn't work out need a bit more planning i think for that.
We moved onto Queens Park Glasgow were we were struggling for time as Colin had to be at work so we used our time for a bit of a laugh really and i got the guys to do my BUSTED JUMP SHOTS!
Had a really awesome time with the guys once again! just feel we needed a little bit longer and hoped to get some studio shots as the light was dropping and they were on the move, this shot kind of reminds me of teh Telly Tubbies haha! here are some more shots of the guys.
